Top Knots update and Best of Weddings 2010

As many of you know, I recently entered the Top Knots contest for best wedding photography of the year. This year there was a People's Choice award and I've been asking folks to vote for me.

The contest is now over and the winners will be announced soon. The last time I looked, I had risen to sixth out of over 5000 entries, which is pretty awesome, so a sincere thanks to everyone who voted for me.

Of course I may rank higher than sixth if there was a rush of votes in the final day, and I could always be awarded a prize by the judges which would be wonderful.

To celebrate all the votes I got in People's Choice, let me share with you my slideshow for Best of Weddings 2010. Take a few moments to bask in the love and check out some crazy moves on the dancefloor!

Here's hoping that 2011 brings me as many opportunities to meet amazing couples and share in the joy of their big day.

Vote for my image and support Marriage Equality

I've recently entered the Top Knots contest, which is a very prestigious contest for wedding photography run by PDN magazine. For the first time this year, PDN is having a people's choice award for the image that gets the most votes from the public.

Top Knots has been going on for 8 years now, and to the best of my knowledge there has never been a same sex couple in any of the winning images. I'd say that 99.9% of images that are submitted are straight couples, so that statistic isn't much of a surprise.

I think it would be amazing if the people's choice award is for an image with a same sex couple.

You can only vote through Tuesday Jan. 11th, so please go to this address right away and place your vote:

Please take a moment to do this and pass it along to anyone else who supports marriage equality. Let's get all viral and spread this to as many people as we can in the short time we have. The current leading image has over 500 votes so there's a lot of ground we need to make up.

Faces of 2010

2010 was a very busy year for me. As I was putting together my annual year in review slideshow, I found that I had too many images for just one, so I put together a series of slideshows, each focusing on a different aspect of my work.

To start off, here's Faces of 2010. If you've been in front of my camera this year, you may even find yourself here. If not, then I hope I get to see you in front of my camera n 2011.

As always visit me at to see more.
